Thank You for Opening This!
We sent this personally to people we know to ask for support. We're setting out on something new, and we want to do it in community.
We'd be grateful if you'd read this page. And if you believe in us, or in what we're trying to bring into the world, make a pre-pledge to help us bring it to life.
In late March or early April 2027, we're launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. More info on the initiative below.
Before the public Kickstarter campaign launches, we’re asking for people to make a commitment to support the initiative. You will not get charged today. You're just telling us you'll be ready to support us when we do the scary thing of putting this out into the world.
The Initiative: Project Little You
We're embarking on something called Project Little You. The mission is to help people hold onto, or find their way back to, the courage to be fully themselves.
Here's the belief underneath it. Every one of us starts out as a child who is playful, fun-loving, open, curious, and full of life. Then the rules show up. Some are spoken. Most are not. They come from parents and peers, culture and our lived experience. They tell us what we should and shouldn't be. What we should and shouldn't feel. And what we should and shouldn't believe.
All those shoulds and shouldn’ts can make us dull. A lot of us become what we'd call a-dull-ts. See what we did there : ). We put away the parts of us that are playful, curious, and full of life.
Project Little You isn't about not growing up. It's about not growing out of the things that make us feel alive, while keeping the wisdom we've picked up along the way. And it uses the power of story to help people do this.
It started with a children's book that does something unexpected. It gets to kids before they start to put parts of themselves away and helps adults remember the parts they did. That book is Little Jeremy's Heart-Strong Adventure.
It's about a little boy who notices everything, feels everything, and loves life out loud. A boy who loves climbing trees and playing with dolls. A boy who has a stuffed monkey and a dad who takes him camping and fishing. A boy who starts to notice that something about being a boy feels like it has rules. Rules nobody says out loud. Rules you should just know.
The story is Jeremy's own, told through a picture book.
The first person Jeremy shared his book with was Becca. She read it and felt it deeply. It made her think about all the parts of herself she put away to "protect" herself. Her creativity. Her joy. What she called her heart-song. It inspired her to write her story. Not necessarily to share with others. For herself. To help find her way back to when she was full of life, before she started to put parts of herself away. She called it Little Becca's Heart-Song.
The more we shared our books, the more people told us that they saw themselves in the stories. And we realized that we were on to something bigger than the books. Both of us experienced the freeing power of writing our stories through the lens of our curious younger selves, and we want to help others do the same.
Because if we can reach kids before they put parts of themselves away while inviting adults to look back through the curious eyes of their younger self, at the parts they did put away, we can give people the courage to live as their whole selves. And when that happens, we believe the world gets a little closer to what it could be. A world where more of us are pulled by love than controlled by fear.
Why Making a Commitment Now Matters
We're self-publishing, which means no publisher is paying for this and no publisher gets to tell us what these books should be. We're covering the illustration ourselves. The campaign covers what comes after. Printing, shipping, and the first resources that grow out of the books.
The platform we’re using, Kickstarter, is all or nothing. Miss the goal and we get nothing.
So, we're doing it backward. We're asking people first, then setting a goal we already know we can clear. When a campaign gets a lot of support in the first few hours, Kickstarter starts showing the campaign to people outside our community.
Your yes today opens the door to this reaching a much larger audience when we go live.

What Happens Next

A week before launch we'll remind you. On the launch date, we'll send you the link to make your official pledge on Kickstarter.
From there, we can only guess. Hopefully, we meet our goal. Hopefully, our campaign catches fire. And hopefully, we can move toward a world that centers love by helping people love themselves.
Love you all!
